Automatic Changeover With Current Limiter (ACCL) Single Phase
ACCL (Automatic Changeover with Current Limiter) is a type of electrical switchgear that automatically switches the power source between the main supply (grid) and a backup source (generator or inverter) while limiting the current to avoid overloads during backup operation.
It has Microcontroller based control and processing & SMPS based power supply.
Key Functions of ACCL
Automatic Source Changeover
- Switches from main supply to generator/inverter when the main fails.
- Switches back to the main supply when it is restored.
Current Limiting
- Limits the amount of current (amperage) drawn from the generator or backup source.
- Prevents overloading of the generator, which may not be able to handle full building loads.
Protection Features
- Overload and voltage fluctuations are managed on Generator operation.
- Auto recovery from overload condition.
Benefits
- Ensures uninterrupted power supply.
- Prevents overloading backup power systems.
- Reduces manual intervention during power outages.
- Helps in load management and energy efficiency.
